Immersion Assembly

Immersion Assembly

Saying ‘Hi’ to everybody and asking how was their holidays? I was Amazed to be back to school. After the morning bell rang, students headed off to their classes to start off Term 2.

This morning we had an amazing Immersion Assembly, inside the hall there were duct taped helium balloons on the walkway and also on the stage. Looking around the hall, where the decorations and outfits were all relating to the theme for term 2.

As we got told from Mr Burt saying, that the topic for this term is “I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT”. After Mr Burt’s talk, every team gets to show what they will be learning about this term. For term 2 every team gets an topic that relates to Science.

As Mr Burt said that this Term its mainly about things that relate about science, so then Mr Burt had a few balloons tied up to his stuffed yellow taxi-cab, and asked how many balloons does it take for his stuffed yellow taxi-cab to go up into the air, at first there was 14 helium balloons, but then we added two more balloons to Mr Burt's yellow taxi-cab, then as Levi Samuels lets go of it, the yellow taxi-cab got stuck on the ceiling of the hall.

Team 1’s Topic is going to the Zoo tomorrow and learning the environment of animals. Team 2’s topic is about Flights and mainly Gravity. Team 3’s topic for term 2 is about colours, how and why rainbows are formed. Team 4’s topic is about what things can and won’t sink into water, and last Team 5’s Topic for term 2 is about Sounds, what we can use to make different kind of sounds.

As I know that this term is going to be Awesome
